Gas Installations

We specialize in commercial and industrial certificate of compliance (COC's) for electrical installations.
We do not do certificate of compliance (COC's) for residential or domestic properties for electrical installations.

Authority

Occupational Health and Safety Act 1993 (Act 85 of 1993).  Department of Labour.  Regulation 17(3) of the pressure equipment regulations 2009.  Liquefied Petroleum Gas Safety.  Association of Southern Africa (LPGAS).  SANS 1008711:  2013 add.

Aim (Goal)

Before issuing a LPGAS certificate of conformity, the property involved should be tested and inspected to ensure it complies with SANS regulations and codes.

Inspection of Installation

Manifold, regulators, pipes, safety shut off valves, hoses, tubes, location of cylinder.  Clearing distance of appliances from electrical equipment and illegal installation.  We test for gas leaks and pressure.

Please take note

The new law come into practice – 1 October 2009.  All new gas installations must have a certificate of conformity by a registered person by LP GAS.  Gas stoves, ovens, gas geyser, fireplaces, braais etc must be inspected to issue a certificate of conformity. Unless these appliance are not on the safety appliance data list, this appliance will be excluded from the gas installation COC.

Repairs

Test and Inspection will indicate the required repairs if any to issue an electrical fence compliance certificate (COC).

Quote Test

The COC will be quoted on request determined by the size of the installation.

Quote Repairs

The amount of faults and time estimation will determine the costs of repairs to legalise the installation.
